Voice Analysis Methodology: Quantifying Authenticity
The Voice Analyzer compares a character's established archetype and description against their actual dialogue output. This ensures creative consistency, minimizing the risk of 'voice drift' during long-form serial development.
1. Lexical Consistency Score (LCS)
The LCS measures the frequency and complexity of vocabulary used by a character against their defined intelligence, education, and social class. GEV uses this score to flag dialogue that is either too sophisticated or too simplistic for the established persona, ensuring authenticity.
- Jargon Detection: Flags excessive technical, legal, or specialized language inconsistent with the character's profession.
- Slang/Vernacular Check: Measures the appropriate use of colloquialisms based on geographic and social profiles.
- Sentence Structure Complexity: Analyzes sentence length and grammatical form to align with character's emotional state and cognitive speed.
2. Emotional Distance Index (EDI)
The EDI quantifies the discrepancy between the dialogue (what is said) and the action line (how it is said/the emotion). This index is critical for minimizing subtext confusion and maintaining the character's emotional baseline (e.g., flagging when an "emotionless" character uses highly passionate language).
- Sentiment/Action Mismatch: Flags direct conflicts (e.g., "She said 'I'm happy' while frowning").
- Baseline Drift: Tracks changes in core character sentiment (e.g., a cynical character suddenly becoming highly optimistic).
- Dialogue Pacing: Measures speech tempo and word choice for character stress and urgency.
3. Consistency Audit Score (CAS)
The final CAS provides a single score of 1-100 indicating the overall creative integrity of the character's voice across the full script. Scripts scoring below GEV's threshold require immediate revision before proceeding to V-Score analysis.
GEV Threshold: CAS must be 85+ for greenlight into V-Score Vetting.
This system ensures all GEV IP maintains high narrative quality and character belief for the audience.
Example Output: Master Coach Feedback (Internal)
CHARACTER: DR. VERA DANE (GEV SLATE IP)
Voice Drift Alert: Emotional Contradiction Detected (CAS: 78)
LCS Flag: Technical Jargon Use dropped by 15% in Act II, replaced with unnecessary colloquialisms.
EDI Alert: Dialogue line "I hate this" is inconsistent with the 'emotionless' profile. Suggested replacement: "This trajectory is statistically undesirable."
Revision Mandate: Increase the Character's Lexical Complexity by 20% in high-stress scenes to maintain consistent persona and support the "Brilliant Scientist" archetype.
